The general permitted period for a non EU citizen to live and be employed within the Republic of Cyprus, is four years. There are however certain groups of employees that are exceptedfrom the four year limitation. These groups of employees include:

 

1. highly skilled personnel employed in companies with substantial annual turnover;

2. executive directors, CEO status individuals, middle management staff, executives and other high           and key level personnel that work in companies that have foreign interests (provided that half of the       company's share capital belongs to a non-Cyprus citizen, or that the direct foreign capital investment     of the company is at the minimum of €171.000) a minimum amount of salary requirement is                   applicable; 

3. athletes and their coaches or team sports; and

4. religious painters (sculptures, icons etc) for specific projects. 

 

 

Individuals who are NOT EU CITIZENS but are married with EU/CYPRUS CITIZEN

 

If their wish is to work in the Republic of Cyprus, the individual non member of the EU, needs to apply for working permit and also submit all the required documents for this application.
